Asian Undergraduate Summit 2019 - UNAIR's Leg

For the fourth time, Universitas Airlangga has been a proud partner of NUS in conducting Asian Undergraduate Summit. UNAIR’s Leg was held from 8 to 13 July 2019 with the sub-theme of “Leadership and Technological Advancement”. During the 6-day program, AUS delegates from 8 Asian countries were encouraged to be qualified leaders in order to solve emerging problems in society with the use of modern technology. Complemented with Leadership, Cyber Law, and Communication, Technology & Society courses, the delegates were able to open their mind and be more critical in overcoming global issues to benefit not only themselves but also the society. The program was furthermore enhanced with field studies to a couple of start-up companies: Ladang Lima and Garda Pangan. Not only did they learn about the sub-theme, but the delegates were also exposed to the cultural aspects in Surabaya through visiting a local community village and learning traditional dance. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT

  1. UNAIR’s Leg provided AUS 2019 delegates with Leadership, Cyber Law, Communication, Technology & Society Courses delivered by expert lecturers and practitioners.
  2. The delegates were taken to a couple of start-up companies: Ladang Lima and Garda Pangan. Other than that, the delegates were exposed to local cultures of Indonesia
  3. The delegates presented their Final Group Project at the end of the program and followed by their Cultural Performance

Delegation Visit from Liming Vocational School University

 

 

 

On Friday (05/07/2019) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) received delegation visit from Liming Vocational University, People Republic of China lead by Huang Shi Qing - President of liming vocational university.

 Warmly welcome by the Vice Rector for Research, Publication and Community Services of Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah together with the Dean and Vice Deans from the Faculty of Vocational Studies.  The aims of the meeting was to discuss the future collaborations between LVU and UNAIR, exploring the potential collaboration activities on the area of Vocational School. 

This courtesy meeting was closed by the MOU signing between two universities and through this meeting, the partnership between these two universities are expected to be sustainable in many years to come.

 

 

 

NTU Hospital Yunlin Branch Collaboration Visit

 

 

 

On Tuesday (09/07) Unair received collaboration visit from National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch. The opening ceremony was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih, Dra., M.Si as Executive Director of Airlangga Global Engagement. The representatives from NTUH are Superintendent, Vice Superintendent, and some representatives of each departments such as Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, neuorology, neurosurgeon, and nursing.

This occasion remarks the initiation process of collaboration which are concerned in health specially medical science. They had parallel workshops that bring more lessons which can be learned for participants. Each session was divided into two rooms with different concern of diseases or health care such as OB/GYN Emergency, Neurolgy/ Stroke Care, Hepatitis, and Nursing.

After having lunch and break, the representatives continue with lecturers given at Universitas Airlangga Hospital. There were highlights on interventional cardiology in Taiwan conducted by Prof. Juey-Jen Hwang, MD, Ph.D and advanced non-intubated video assisted thoratic surgery conducted by Dr. Pan Chien-Te, MD.

 

 

 

Delegation Visit from UCSI University Malaysia

 

On Wednesday (3/07/2019) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) received delegation visit from UCSI University, Malaysia. In this occassion, UCSI represented by the Director Global Engagement Office, Ms. Katrina Tan and the Executive Officer from Global Engagement Office, Mr. Ian Griffin Prawiromaruto.

Warmly welcome by the Executive Director of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) of Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri Pispaningsih, together with Deputy Executive of AGE Dr. Dian Ekowati, Head Division of Global Networking and Communication of AGE, Ms. Margaretha, the Vice Deans of Cooperation, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Psychology and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and as well as the Deputy from the World University Association in Community Development Program.   

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the potential collaboration between UCSI and UNAIR in the area of academic exchange mobility and joint research possibility. In addition to that during the meeting, UCSI and UNAIR agreed on making an Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate the upcoming collaboration activities.

Hopefully, partnership between these two universities are expected to be sustainable in many years to come.

Delegation Visit from National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch

On Tuesday (9/07/2019) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) received delegation visit from National Taiwan University Hospital, Yunlin Branch. In this occassion, NTUH Yunlin branch represented by Superintendent, National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch, Prof Hwang, Juey-Jen, MD, Ph.D ; Vice Superintendent, National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch, Prof Matthew Huei-Ming Ma; Chief Executive Officer, International Medical Service Center, National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch, Dr. Chien-Te Pan Pan. 

The distinguished guests are warmly welcome by the Rector of Universitas together with the Vice Rector, Executive Director of AGE, Executive Secretary, Vice Dean Faculty of Medicine and Director of Dr. Soetomo's Hospital.

On this visit to Universitas Airlangga, they work together to conduct a Scientific Symposium between hepatology obstetric, emergency services and stroke centre as the first collaboration activity.It was their second time visit after their first visit to Universitas Airlangga’s hospital on last July 2018. In addition to that, Rector of Universitas Airlangga also visited NTUH Yunlin Branch during his visit to Taiwan on November 2018 for witnessing a signing collaboration agreement between Universitas Airlangga Teaching Hospital and National Taiwan University Yunlin Branch.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the expansion of the collaboration between NTUH Yunlin branch and UNAIR in the area of academic exchange mobility and joint research possibility particularly in health area. Hopefully, the good partnership between these two universities are expected to be fruitful and beneficial in many years to come.
