3rd Day of theTahir NTU-UNAIR Student Exchange Program 2019

It is the 3rd day of The Tahir NTU-UNAIR Student Exchange Program. Today the students learn about the presentation skill that may be beneficial for their academic and professional activities in the future. The lecturer, Dr. Hill, also give tips and tricks to upgrade student’s presentation performance.

After the lunch break, Ms. Li Shu Yun take over the class into introduction and discussion session with the student buddies. Later, they will get a group project and present it in the end of the program. Want to know more about their projects? From 16-25 July 2019, Universitas Airlangga together with Nanyang Technological University held a Student Exchange Program which aims to improve students English Language skills.


On the 2nd day of The Tahir NTU-UNAIR Student Exchange Program (17/07), students were having a class which topic is Understanding Intercultural Communication. The class was delivered by Dr. Christopher Hill at The Hive, NTU. Dr. Hill explained the importance of intercultural understanding to our daily and professional life.
Later, they had a city tour around Singapore’s signature places such as Merlion Park, City Hall, and Parliament House.

Asian Undergraduate Summit 2019 - UNAIR's Leg

For the fourth time, Universitas Airlangga has been a proud partner of NUS in conducting Asian Undergraduate Summit. UNAIR’s Leg was held from 8 to 13 July 2019 with the sub-theme of “Leadership and Technological Advancement”. During the 6-day program, AUS delegates from 8 Asian countries were encouraged to be qualified leaders in order to solve emerging problems in society with the use of modern technology. Complemented with Leadership, Cyber Law, and Communication, Technology & Society courses, the delegates were able to open their mind and be more critical in overcoming global issues to benefit not only themselves but also the society. The program was furthermore enhanced with field studies to a couple of start-up companies: Ladang Lima and Garda Pangan. Not only did they learn about the sub-theme, but the delegates were also exposed to the cultural aspects in Surabaya through visiting a local community village and learning traditional dance.   1. UNAIR’s Leg provided AUS 2019 delegates with Leadership, Cyber Law, Communication, Technology & Society Courses delivered by expert lecturers and practitioners.
  2. The delegates were taken to a couple of start-up companies: Ladang Lima and Garda Pangan. Other than that, the delegates were exposed to local cultures of Indonesia
  3. The delegates presented their Final Group Project at the end of the program and followed by their Cultural Performance

Meeting Follow Up for Korean Culture-Language Center with BBB Korea

Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) hosted second visit from the representatives of BBB Korea in Indonesia, namely Ms. Mee-hei Choie, the Executive Director BBB Korea and Ms. Yoonhee Lee as the Assistant Director, on Monday (15/07/2019). BBB Korea is a non-governmental organization supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Republic of Korea that focuses on conducting language and culture projects as main service.

of Airlangga Global Engagement Universitas Airlangga.


This visit aims as a meeting follow up to discuss the further update about an establishment of Korean Culture-Language Center proposal that was proposed by BBB Korea to UNAIR. The meeting, that was led by the Vice Rector IV, Junaidi Khotib, S.Si.,M.Kes.,Ph.D.,Apt and the Excecutive Director of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih, M.Si, mainly discussed several aspects such as the proposed location of Korean Culture-Language Center, support funding available for this center, annual activities plan, and the grand opening schedule.

This meeting was concluded with several agreements such as the Korean Culture-Language Center will be located in Faculty of Pharmacy Building, UNAIR’s Campus C Mulyorejo, Korean Festival will be arranged to be part of Airlangga Global Day 2019 and the Grand Opening of Korean Culture-Language Center will be held in February 2020.

Delegation Visit from Liming Vocational School University




On Friday (05/07/2019) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) received delegation visit from Liming Vocational University, People Republic of China lead by Huang Shi Qing - President of liming vocational university.

 Warmly welcome by the Vice Rector for Research, Publication and Community Services of Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah together with the Dean and Vice Deans from the Faculty of Vocational Studies.  The aims of the meeting was to discuss the future collaborations between LVU and UNAIR, exploring the potential collaboration activities on the area of Vocational School. 

This courtesy meeting was closed by the MOU signing between two universities and through this meeting, the partnership between these two universities are expected to be sustainable in many years to come.
