Cultural Trip with UNAIR’s International Students

 

 

 

On Saturday, September 23rd, 2017, all international students from AMERTA 7, KNB, Darmasiswa, and Reguler Malaysia program was invited to join Cultural Trip. The cultural trip was held in Center for Living Environment Education (PPLH) Seloliman, located in Mojokerto, East Java. After arriving in PPLH, they were then gathered in the Hall, to receive information about the activities they will have during Cultural Trip from Airlangga Global Engagement’s Staffs and representatives from PPLH.

To start the activites, they were divided into several smaller groups. They then played small game to increase their spirits and happiness and maintain them throughout the Cultural Trip. After the game has finished, those groups then took a tour surrounding the PPLH farming grounds. They learn about making natural fertilizer from food and animal waste, and they also learn about plantation. After that, they got the chance to experience ploughing the rice field traditionally, using buffalos and other traditional tools. After having fun while ploughing, it’s time for lunchbreak. They were then transported back to the Hall’s Restaurant to enjoy Indonesian local food.

After lunchbreak, then those smaller groups were combined into big groups for the next activity, which was Exploring the PPLH’s Area. They walked across the jungle and small rivers located in the area. at the end of the exploring, they arrived in a river to take a rest and playing some mini games like Water War and Stone Tower.
