Indonesian Diversity at Airlangga (INDIAIR) 2018

This is a two-week end of year break session at for emergency Universitas Airlangga, where participants can learn the cultures and diversities of Indonesia. It will be an excellent opportunity to catch up your coursework, meeting professors in an informal settings, and to enjoy the companionship of students from all over the world.

If you want to learn and experience more the real pluralism, Indonesia is the best place to go. Having more than 17,000 islands and more less 255 million people, Indonesia has a significant cultural, ethnic, religious and linguistic diversity, from the daily Hindu rituals practiced on Bali Island to the prevalence of Islamic sharia law in Aceh (Sumatra) or the semi-nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyles of the Mentawai people.

The Indonesian government nurtures and promotes its diversity by adopting a pluralist approach. “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” as the motto of diversity means Unity in Diversity that is perpetuated in national ideology of Indonesia. This motto articulates the diversity that shapes the country.

Hiroshima University Seminar

 

Hiroshima University is a national university established in 1949, by the integration of the most prestigious universities from Hiroshima region. The university has grown and it is aiming to be a world-class hub of education and research, to foster excellent human resources to contribute to the community, and to developmentally expand science. It is one of the top Super Global Universities, a Japanese Ministry of Education program that supports domestic universities to become stronger and more globalized. Hiroshima University is already beyond many other universities when it comes to globalization: it provides extensive support to international students and offers various courses taught entirely or partly in English, from business to life sciences.

Professors from graduate schools of Hiroshima University (HU), one of the prestigious national universities in Japan, are coming to Surabaya to introduce their Master and Doctoral courses.

CommTECH Integrated Initiative 2018

As an effort to strengthen cooperation between Eastern Part of Indonesian University Network members (EPI-UNET) and the strengthening of internationalization together, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) will hold a collaboration program called "Community and Technology (CommTECH) Integrated Initiative 2018" for students to addressing globalization. This program will be held on 15-20 November 2018 with a focus on activities to equip students in the face of globalization.

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) offer scholarships to one student selected from your university to join the program. The scholarship covers accommodation costs, meals, program fees, transportation while in Surabaya, and airline tickets from the respective universities to Surabaya.

Eligibility

  • UNAIR undergraduate and master students
  • Completed at least two semesters (undergraduate)
  • Strong academic performance (cGPA > 3.00)
  • Commit to all aspects of the program upon nomination
  • Be physically and emotionally capable of completing the programs
  • English proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 550 or equivalent (ELPT is allowed).

  • One recommendation letter by home university
  • Scanned student ID or statement letter confirming as an active student from home university (Surat Keterangan Mahasiswa Aktif)

Chung-Ang University Students Exchange Spring 2019 Semester

Chung-Ang University is a private institution with 30,000 students and 982 faculty members. It consists of 10 undergraduate colleges and 16 graduate schools. Chonbuk National University Winter 2019: The Feeling Korea Program

Chonbuk University offers students from Universitas Airlangga a range of possibilities to experience Feeling Korea Program in South Korea. By joining the Feeling Korea Program, you can explore various Korean cultures which you haven’t known. If you join the program, you can not only make pottery, learn Taekwondo, and experience Korean traditional wedding but also visit the largest amusement park in Korea and go skiing.
