IJEP General Admission Kumamoto University April 2019

Program Duration: Either 6 months or one year
UNAIR students internal screening deadline: 20 November 2018

IJEP (International Joint Education Program for Science and Technology) Short-Term Exchange Program accepts qualified graduate students from overseas universities and provides education and research in English for maximum one year. Students in this program will belong to a laboratory to conduct a research project under the guidance of an academic supervisor in GSST. In addition, they are required to take some lectures related to topics in environmental issues and the field trip to learn about the natural resources and related social issues.

Program contents

  • Lectures (a certificate of credits will be issued by Dean of GSST)

“Current Science and Technology in Japan” in fall semester (2 credits) is required.
Choice of 3 classes related to topics in environment issues is required.*Exchange students can take most of lectures offered in GSST, if agreement from an instructor can be obtained.

Eligibility

  • UNAIRs’ Master and Doctoral (S2/S3) Students
  • Have a minimum 3,00 GPA
  • Have a minimum 550 TOEFL or 6,0 IELTS score
  • Commit to all aspects of the program upon the nomination
  • Be physically and emotionally capable of completing the program in the host university

  • Certificate of Enrollment, including information such as expected date of completion (surat keterangan mahasiswa aktif dalam bahasa Inggris)
  • A letter of recommendation from a professor or a research supervisor who can evaluate the applicants’ personality and ability in study and research
  • Official Academic Transcript in English (issued and stamped by Faculty, not KHS)
  • Scanned English proficiency certificate (TOEFL/ELPT >530, IELTS >6 or equivalent is preferable)
  • Study plan
  • ID page of Passport (if available) with more than 1 Year validity from application
  • Health Certificate

Nagasaki University Student Exchange Program for Spring 2019 (Spring Semester)

This program is a non-degree program for the regular students of our partner university which has agreement on student exchange. As a part of an undergraduate or graduate school, students will attend lectures or receive research guidance alongside Japanese students for one semester or one academic year.

  • Applicants must be enrolled as regular students in a partner university and not have graduated from their home universities before completing their study abroad.
  • Applicants must meet the application requirements of the faculty or graduate school they petition for.

University of Miyazaki Exchange program 2019

The University of Miyazaki took an important step forward in April 2016 by opening our new Faculty of Regional Innovation. This addition brought our total number of faculties to five, along with our faculties of Agriculture, Education, Engineering, and Medicine. The new faculty will span a range of different disciplines, including the humanities and social sciences as well as agriculture and engineering. In bringing together faculty members specializing in both the humanities and sciences, the Faculty of Regional Innovation will aim to provide education of practical value that also optimally utilizes the resources of our region.
