Akdeniz University was founded in 1982 in Antalya, and incorporated a number of higher education institutions in the West Mediterranean region of Turkey. In 1992 the units of Akdeniz University which were located in Isparta were transferred to Süleyman Demirel University, and in 2006 the units in Burdur were transferred to Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.

From its foundation to the present day, Akdeniz University has played a significant role in the development of activities of vital importance in the fields of education, research and development and service to society, as well as putting its signature on a list of outstanding successes in the fields of health, science, social development, education and arts at both the national and international level. Today, Akdeniz University has 41 academic units including; 19 faculties, 7 institutes, 3 schools, 1 conservatory, and 11 vocational schools.

Eligibility

  • All academic staff members are eligible to take part in academic staff mobility projects if they are employed  in domestic or foreign  higher  education  institutions which have  signed the  Mevlana Exchange Programme Protocol. This mobility covers education-training activities for academic staff members which have been authorised in one higher education institution, and which will be carried out in another higher education institution.
  • Academic  staff  mobility  periods  can  be from minimum two weeks up  to  a maximum of three months,and can only be authorised once in the same academic year.
  • The academic activities of academic staff members taking part in a mobility programme must not be  less  than a total of six  hours  weekly.  In calculating  the  total hours  of activities performed  by  academic  staff, consideration  will  be  given  to  the  total  hours  of courses.  If the total hours of the courses is less than six hours, other academic activities such as seminars, panels or conferences will be taken into consideration. Academic staff mobility plans which do not  contain  lectures will not  be  considered to  fall  within  the  terms of  the Mevlana Exchange Programme, and will not be accepted.
  • Academic  Staff  mobility programmes should  be arranged to commence  after September 1 2017, and finish before August 31 2018.

  • Daily Wage (Prof, Assoc. Prof, Assist. Prof.) : 50,00 TL
  • Daily Wage (Others) : 40,00 TL
  • Travel Expenses : 4.000 TL

  • Academic  Portfolio that  includes  documents giving  details  of publications  relevant to  the department in the field of the Mevlana application, projects participated in, projects carried out, planned projects, and projects for courses given or planned.

  • IOP UNAIR will review all application after the mentioned deadline. Please be aware that all incomplete applications will not be considered
  • IOP will contact shortlisted candidates for further application process
