Nagasaki University Japanese Language and Culture Program (JLCP) Spring 2019

 

Nagasaki University Japanese Language and Culture Program (JLCP) provides an opportunity to learn Japanese language and culture at the Liaison Center for International Education, Nagasaki University. The objectives of this program are to improve participants’ Japanese language skills and enrich their knowledge of Japanese culture, and also to deepen mutual understanding between international students and Japanese students.

Students are expected to take 7 or more credit hours of Japanese language and culture subjects per semester from among the following subjects*. Participants will be classified by the level of their Japanese language proficiency which is determined by the result of the Japanese language placement test. Subject(s) may be changed due to some unforeseen reasons. Approximately 50 students in each semester (Non-Fee-Paying Course: about 30, Fee-Paying Course: about 20) will be accepted.

Eligibility

  • UNAIR undergraduate Student, majoring or minoring in Japanese language and culture. Or ones whose primary purpose is to learn Japanese language and culture.
  • Passed N3 or higher level of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or relevant.
  • Completed at least two semesters (undergraduate)
  • Strong academic performance (cGPA > 3.00)
  • Commit to all aspects of the program upon nomination
  • Be physically and emotionally capable of completing the programs

Program Benefits

  • Tuition fee waived

  • Valid Copy of Passport: Your personal information should be shown on the scanned page, and the expiry date should cover the whole study period.
  • Letter of recommendation (from applicant’s academic supervisor or a faculty member who know him/her well)
  • CV in English
  • Motivation Letter
  • Certificate of Japanese language proficiency (N3 or higher level)
  • Certificate of English/others foreign language proficiency

University of Miyazaki Winter Program 2019

“Learn about Japan and Miyazaki and University of Miyazaki” University of Miyazaki will give you 2 classes in this winter program as follows. (Japanese language, Japanese culture)

The Japanese language, Japanese culture classes are designed for students at any Japanese level. In addition to language training the program enables students to deepen their understanding of Japan by experiencing traditional culture such as tea ceremony and taking part in visits to archaeological sites and other places of interest.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate and graduate students of UNAIR
  • Be nominated by AGE
  • Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 4-point scale, or its equivalent)
  • Have minimum score 500/6.0 (TOEFL/ELPT/IELTS) or score min. 3 on JLPT

Fee

  • 80,000 yen (1 credit; Japanese culture )

Full payment in cash to be made on arrival (payment by credit card is under consideration and we will inform you later whether it is impossible or not).The above fee includes accommodation fee and tution fee. It doesn't cover meal expenses and daily transport

Study in Japan Fair 2018 (Indonesia)
