ASEA UNINET STUDENTS WEEK 2019, Hosted by Universitas Indonesia

ASEA UNINET STUDENTS WEEK” is an academic mobility program, designed to facilitate undergraduate students from ASEA-UNINET universities’ member to participate in a short program with a duration of 2 weeks and earned 3 credits (with 44 contact hours) upon completion. Universitas Indonesia invites every ASEA-UNINET member university to send 2 (two) graduate students as the representatives from each University to join this program.

This year marks the 2nd year of ASEA UNINET Students Week. This program is specifically designed so that the participants not only benefit academically through in-class lectures (with multidisciplinary field of study approach) but also get the opportunity to have an internship or field study and given the exposure of Indonesia culture through the cultural engagement included in the program.

"Sustainable Development", chosen as the theme of this year program, along with ASEA UNINET main goal, aims to encourage participants to have broadened intellectual and awareness on the importance of sustainability which has been a global issue and challenges faced by modern society.

Eligibility

  • UNAIR undergraduate students
  • Completed at least two semesters at UNAIR
  • Min. cGPA > 3.00
  • Min. ELPT/TOEFL score of > 500 or equivalent
  • Be recommended by Unair
  • Commit to all aspects of the program upon nomination
  • Be physically and emotionally capable of completing the program in the host University

  • ELPT or TOEFL ITP or TOEFL IBT certificate (minimum score is 500 or equal)
  • Academic Transcript (all semesters for students)

Program Fee
555 USD/person including airport transfer on departure and arrival, meals during the program (exclude dinner), program materials, certificate of participation and cultural activities during the program. Accommodation fee is 280 USD/person.
 
Universitas Indonesia is pleased to provide scholarships to those students nominated by ASEA-UNINET member universities in the form of:
1.     Free accommodation and program fee waiver for the 1st nominated student.*
2.     Free accommodation waiver for the 2nd nominated student. *

2019 MOFCOM Academic Education Programmes

Academic Education Programs sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China is designed to foster high-end business officials and managerial personnel for the recipient countries in 2008, offering one-year and two-year master programs as well as three-year doctoral programs for the purpose of educating high-end and inter-disciplinary talent working in the applied fields of government, trade, foreign affairs, agriculture, technology, education, culture and health, building intellectual capacity and facilitating the economic and social development of the recipient countries. These programs provide assistance to governmental officials, research fellows, and senior managerial personnel on their master and doctor education in China, which are fully conducted in English. Admission requirements include a bachelor’s degree, relevant working experiences, and decent physical conditions, essential for the high-compact curriculum needed for the degrees.

Eligibility:

  • Not over 45 years old (born after September 1st, 1974).
  • Have attained a Bachelor’s degree or above, with three-year or above working

experience, should be government officials at middle or senior level, or researchers or

administrators of academic institutions at middle or senior level.

  • Be healthy both physically and mentally, providing health certificate
  • Have sufficient English proficiency which meets the academic requirements of

the program. e.g. IELTS 6.0 and above, or new TOEFL score 80 and above.

professors. Telephone numbers and email addresses of the referees must be

included in the letters.

  • English proficiency certificates. Copy of language level certificate: For

non-English speaking countries only, applicants' recent TOEFL, GRE and other

level test requirements.

  • Copy of ID passport
  • 2 pieces of 2-inch recent photos in white background.
  • Health Form: health examination form (See Attachment 4) within one month

identifying that the applicant has no infectious disease or a disability that affects his or her major or other diseases that the Chinese border agency does not allow.

Nagasaki University International Summer Program 2019

Nagasaki University welcomes students who wish to “feel” Nagasaki through Japanese language lessons and cultural experiences!

Program Duration: 29 Juli – 08 Agustus 2019

Application Deadline: 10 Juni 2019

Program contents:

  • Japanese language lessons for beginners (90min x 7)
  • Special lectures under the theme of Japan and Nagasaki (90min x 3)
  • Cultural experiences (90min x 5):
  • Japanese Tea Ceremony, Kimono-wearing, Origami, Traditional Music, Flower Pressing
  • Overnight field trip, city tour etc.

Eligibility:

  • Active undergraduate students of UNAIR
  • Strong academic performance (cGPA > 3.00)
  • Highly fluent in English (TOEFL >500, IELTS >6 or equivalent is preferable)
  • Fully commit to all aspects of the program upon nomination
  • Physically and emotionally capable of completing their studies
  • Participants are required to know how to write Hiragana and Katakana before their arrival.

2019 IIBD INTERNATIONAL CASE COMPETITION

Established in 2008, the IIBD International Case Competition is a competition for IIBD member and non-member universities worldwide. The Competition aims at giving students a fruitful learning experience outside classrooms. Students will have the chance to gain hands-on experiences to tackle real-world business problems, which highlight the strategic challenges and managerial dilemmas, and to network with peers and industry professionals from across the globe.

Organised by HKBU School of Business, the Final Round of the 2019 IIBD International Case Competition will be held on 1 November 2019, Friday, at Hong Kong Baptist University.

Eligibility

•All business students from universities around the globe, either IIBD member and non-member universities, are eligible.

•Each university can nominate ONE team. Each team should consist of a maximum of 4 business students, with no more than one graduate student per team.

•Students of the same team must come from the same institution at the time of application.

•Each team should be supervised by a Faculty Supervisor.

•The hosting institution will be eligible to have one team in the Final Round of the Competition.

Benefit

-      Accommodation for Non-local Finalists

Accommodation from 31 October to 3 November 2019 (3 nights) with maximum 3 twins rooms, will be provided for each non-local finalist team by the IIBD International Case Competition. Cost of extra room and night requested by non-local finalist teams has to be paid on their own expense.

The Social Enterprise for Economic Development (SEED) 2019

The Social Enterprise for Economic Development (SEED) is an effective inter-cultural transformational leadership programme utilising social entrepreneurship as a method towards economic progress. UTM SEED 2019, Malaysia is organised by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in collaboration with ASEAN  Learning Network (ALN).

UTM SEED 2019, Malaysia is a unique student-centered and socially responsible learning initiative, requiring students to work together in international and multicultural teams to converge, interact and conduct on-site research in a real-life context of a developing rural communities for development of business plan.

Through UTM SEED 2019, Malaysia, participants will be immersed in off-campus cross-cultural learning settings in the rural areas and developing villages in Johor, Malaysia. The guided interaction with the locals as well as discussion with community leaders shall give the participants basis for developing feasible action plans for the development of socioeconomic of the targeted community. The viable entreprise plans will be presented to a panel of experts, social entrepreneurs, and community members.

  • Undergraduate students of UNAIR
    • English Proficiency equal to or more than IBT 60 or PBT 500 (ELPT is allowed)
    • Commit to all aspects of the program upon the nomination
    • Be physically and emotionally capable of completing the programs both in the host university and the home university

  • One copy of English proficiency certificate (TOEFL/IELTS/ELPT)
  • One copy of Academic Transcript in English (issued and stamped by Faculty)
  • One copy of valid ID card or passport (1 Year validity from the date of application)
  • Certificate of enrollment and sign by the faculty
