ASEAN Identity Logo Design Competition 2020

ASEAN Identity Logo Design Competition 2020 for ASEAN Youths (Cash prize of €2,000). Applications are open for the ASEAN Identity Logo Design Competition 2020. The year 2020 has been designated as the Year of ASEAN Identity to further develop and foster a sense of belonging and shared identity among the peoples of ASEAN.

The ASEAN Secretariat, with the support of the ASEAN-German Cooperation implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is initiating the 2020 Year of ASEAN Identity Logo Design Competition for ASEAN Youths to stimulate young people’s creativity in interpreting ASEAN identity. The logo will be featured in various materials and high profile events throughout 2020 to celebrate ASEAN Identity.

   Cash prize of €2,000

   2 nights’ hotel stay in Jakarta

   Return flight from an ASEAN Member State to Jakarta for the launch and awarding ceremony

ASEA-UNINET International Community Outreach Program 2019: Life Below Water

Program Description:
You will be greeted by Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya and Diponegoro University in Semarang, two of the highly reputable public universities in Indonesia.

The International Community Outreach Program under the ASEA-UNINET consortium is a one-week program which is designed to offer students and academic staff a once-in-a-lifetime experience that allows them to explore and respond to the actual social life & help the community development problems.

Adapted from Goal 14.7 of Sustainable Development Goals, Life Below Water, participants are expected to educate the coastal communities about increasing the economic benefits from the sustainable use of marine resources, especially clams, including through sustainable management of fisheries, aquaculture and tourism. Participants, both academic staff and students, will have a working session and community services in both Surabaya and Semarang. The goal is to make the community able to process the clams into products with the higher added value. Both academic staff and students are expected to encourage the coastal communities to discuss and reflect with them, to gain experience in a diverse range of knowledge.

Program period and Venue:
15 to 17 December : Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya
18 to 21 December : Diponegoro University, Semarang

Requirements:
Students

  • Be an active undergraduate or graduate student
  • Be nominated by home university
  • Submit the following documents:
    • ID page of Passport with more than 1 Year validity from application
    • 1 (one) copy of student card
    • 1 (one) copy of English proficiency certificate*
    • Letter of nomination issued by home university (academic supervisor/program coordinator)
    • CV in English
    • International travel insurance

*not applicable for students whose first language is English

Academic Staff

  • Have an interest in marine product management
  • Be recommended by home university or faculty
  • Submit the following documents:
    • ID page of Passport with more than 1 Year validity from application
    • CV in English
    • Letter of recommendation from home university or faculty

Program Fee
ASEA-UNINET University member: Program fee waived

Non ASEA-UNINET University member:
Students: 150 USD
Academic Staff: 200 USD

The program fee includes the following items:

  • Meals during the program
  • Local transportation during the program
  • Airport transfer service during the program
  • Accommodation during the program

The program fee does not include the following items:

  • Round trip airfare
  • International travel/health insurance
  • Personal expenses

DELIGHTFUL ISTANBUL 2020 Winter School for International Students

Delightful Istanbul Program offers courses for credit, exciting cultural and social activities and a multicultural learning environment for students. International students can choose one course from a list of multidisciplinary courses. The language of instruction is English. Each course carries 3 ECTS credits.

  • UNAIR undergraduate and master students
  • Completed at least two semesters (undergraduate)

  • Be physically and emotionally capable of completing the programs
  • English proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 500 or equivalent (ELPT is allowed).

Chung-Ang University Students Exchange Spring 2020

Chung-Ang University is a private institution with 30,000 students and 982 faculty members. It consists of 10 undergraduate colleges and 16 graduate schools. Nagasaki University Student Exchange Program for Spring 2020

This program is a non-degree program for the regular students of our partner university which has agreement on student exchange. As a part of an undergraduate or graduate school, students will attend lectures or receive research guidance alongside Japanese students for one semester or one academic year.

April - July 2020

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be enrolled as regular students in a partner university and not have graduated from their home universities before completing their study abroad.
  • Applicants must meet the application requirements of the faculty or graduate school they petition for.
  • Applicants should be nominated by their home universities.
