New Zealand Scholarships are prestigious scholarships for people from developing countries to study in New Zealand and the Pacific. The scholarships foster and build potential leaders, as well as equipping individuals with skills and knowledge to benefit their home country.


Eligibility


1. At least 18 years old
2. Individuals of foreign nationality
3. Meet the academic entry requirement and English language ability requirement (Refer to the website of your preferred institution to confirm entry requirements.)

Financial Benefits


1. full tuition fees
2. a fortnightly living allowance - this is a contribution to basic living expenses
3. an establishment allowance - this is a once only payment as a contribution towards accommodation expenses, text books, study materials
4. medical and travel insurance
5. Travel to and from your home country - this is for travel from your home country at the start of the scholarship, and for you to return to your home country at the end of your scholarship. Note that we offer our scholarships for the shortest amount of time needed for you to complete the academic programme.
6. home leave or reunion travel for some scholars
7. assistance with research and thesis costs for many postgraduate research students

 

Application Procedure


1. Step one: Confirm your eligibility
Complete the Online Eligibility Test. This will give you a number that you will need when you register (step three).
2. Step two: Create a Real Me login
This will give you a login and password that you will use through the application process.
3. Step three: Register with New Zealand Scholarships online
This creates your application account, and means you will be set up to complete an application.
4. Step four: Complete your application
This step will only become available when applications formally opens. Check application dates.
