International Student Orientation

In every new semester, there must be foreign students entering Universitas Airlangga to study in various program. Helping those students to adapt in their new environment (campus life) and prevent from getting cultural shock, IOP provides International Student Orientation for each semester.

In this semester, the International Student Orientation is held for 2 days, 1st and 2nd September 2016. There was 26 students from AMERTA program and 7 students from DARMASISWA program who participate in this event. In the first day, there was a Campus Tour that start from Campus A and finish at Campus C Universitas Airlangga. They are invited to get to know about several places that can support their campus life (and their survival needs).

For the second day, IOP held Orientation Class, in Kahuripan 301, Management Office Universitas Airlangga. This event consists of opening speech from Vice Rector Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Joko, orientation about cultural shock in Indonesia and immigration affairs, fill up the needed form, such as for opening bank account, academician data, and they have to take their photo for their student’s ID card.
