Student Exchange Program Info Session

On Tuesday, 28 February 2017, the International Office and Partnership of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) and Masaryk University, Czech Republic, organized an Information Session for the Student Exchange Program attended by more less 65 students from all faculties. This activity was held at Room 301, 3rd floor, Kahuripan Building, from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M.

This info session featured two speakers. Astria as the first speaker is an Administrator Staff of Outbound Mobility from the International Office and Partnership. She mentioned that there have been many benefits, and some types of exchange programs from partner and non-partner Universities which are available for UNAIR students. Furthermore, Astria outlined the roles of IOP one of which could assist the students to experience the exchange programs.

Ms. Zuzana Pelankova, as the second speaker and a training staff from Masaryk University under Erasmus+ Program, gave a presentation about the university, and study life in Brno. Zuzana believed that she had got so many experiences being an exchange student during her Bachelor and Master program. In her session, she encouraged the students to be brave in challenging themselves through any exchange program as this would become their once in a lifetime experience. Both audiences and Zuzana had made the session more attractive; the audiences got engaged with quizzes and Q-A sessions at the end.  They were enthusiastic to answer her questions. This session was so much interesting that Zuzana brought lots of door prizes for the students.

The info session was very successful as more students requested to have more Info Sessions in the future, and invite the speakers from various universities. “I hope IOP could conduct more info sessions and it would have been great if it had been conducted in Campus B as well” said Hach Dini, a student from the Faculty of Law.
