On Sunday (29/6), Management and Science University from Malaysia visited Universitas Airlangga. Thirty delegations in total were coming; all of them were students plus one official from MSU itself.

The visit itself lasted for about two days, with the first day they were taken on a city tour and throughout the second day they were all joining an all-day-long workshop about leadership skills. They arrived at Sunday (29/6), welcomed by a city tour to several places in Surabaya, with House of Sampoerna as the main destination. The whole event that afternoon was followed by a welcoming dinner with Airlangga Global Engagement at Clubhouse Regency 21, where students of MSU got to share their impressions about the visit to House of Sampoerna, play ice-breaking games and met the other international students from two other programs held by Airlangga Global Engagement. A turn of event happened when several students were ‘punished’ due to their losing the games, where they were asked to sing their national anthem on stage. Upon the singing of Malaysian national anthem on stage by one of their students, Yasmeen, the other students from MSU rose from their seats and joined her to sing together.

Throughout the second day, again they had to attend a welcoming ceremony from Airlangga Global Engagement which was not only attended by the participants of international programs held by Airlangga Global Engagement, but also from officials of high ranks in Universitas Airlangga and some guests as well. Once the clock swiftly turned to ten, the students of MSU were led to Aula Kahuripan 301 to begin their workshop regarding leadership skills. The workshop itself, known as Leadership and International Networking Workshop was divided into three sessions. The first session began with Margaretha, S.Psi., G.Dip.Psych., M.Sc., a lecturer from Faculty of Psychology of Universitas Airlangga, who explained every little detail on what leadership actually was. During the first session, students of MSU, alongside several students from Universitas Airlangga discussed about people who inspired them to be a leader and from each person that inspired them, they were asked to find one trait from each person which makes them a true leader to them. The second session was an extended arm for the second session, featuring Dimas Aryo Wicaksono S.Psi., M. Sc., another lecturer from Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Airlangga with specialty in leadership. It involved leadership training activities, where students were asked to draw each of their dreams, each of their vision about their future self as a leader, before sending two representatives from each group to deliver a presentation about the drawings.

The third session, which was also the final session, was a sharing session between student councils. Both Universitas Airlangga and MSU sent forth their representatives to present the profile of the student councils and explain the divisions in student council, alongside some of the program. In this session, they formed five separate groups with two members of student council of Universitas Airlangga in each group. For twenty minutes they discussed about each of their programs, the mechanism of election and hierarchy in the organisation itself.

Lastly, the MSU students had a photo session with Mr. Irfan Wahyudi as the Head of International Programs Division, as well as committee and members of the student council of Universitas Airlangga. The end of the workshop also marked the end of their visit to Universitas Airlangga.
