Exploring Kampung Lawas Maspati with Airlangga-KOC Summer Camp 2018

On Thursday (16/8), participants of KOÇ-Airlangga Summer Camp attended three classes. First class talked about how to build brand, lectured by Ms. Ratih Puspa, S.Sos., MA.

The second class talked about business canvas identification, delivered by Dr. Tri Siwi Agustina, SE., M. Si.
The third class, which was conducted after lunch break, featured Mr. Jovi Sulistiawam, SE., MSM, who brought up the leadership and strategic management topic.


Later on, the participants had some fun at Kampung Lawas Maspati, where they were given sarung, slung across their body and wore udeng throughout the whole visit. They also participated in several games, hosted by the people of the kampong itself.


 

Celebrating Independence Day with Airlangga-KOC Summer Camp 2018

Friday (17/8) was the last day in Surabaya for the participants of KOÇ-Airlangga Summer Camp 2018. They started their last day in Surabaya by joining the flag ceremony which was held as a celebration of 73 years of Indonesian independence.

Since it was the independence day, their real trip began with a visit to the Monument of Heroes. In the museum, the participants found themselves lost in the story of the ripping of Dutch flag in Yamato Hotel, Surabaya, which resulted in the commemoration of heroes which falls on 10th November, the same day the flag-ripping incident happened.



Later on, they went to House of Sampoerna, to have some more insights on the subjects they've previously learnt in the classes.


Lastly, they went to Angklung Village, one of the best known sociopreneurship to ever exist in Surabaya, mainly known as Urban Care.


Airlangga-KOC Summer Camp 2018: First Day in Bali

Last Saturday (18/8), participants of KOÇ-Airlangga Summer Camp were visiting cultural village of Penglipuran. The village was known for their rich, well-preserved culture.

They also got a chance to explore the bamboo forest. Villagers made use of bamboo as their basic construction to build houses, as well as other house appliances.


They also had a lunch in a restaurant which located on top of the rice fields. They enjoyed fresh coconut, which they did't have the chance to try before. It was their actual first time of having some fresh coconut water. Moreover, the view was astonishing.

Exploring Sukawati Art Market with KOC-Airlangga Summer Camp 2018

Last Sunday (19/8), participants of KOÇ-Airlangga Summer Camp 2018 explored Sukawati Art Market to analyse local products as well as to observe traditional market. 


 


The participants also had a cultural trip to Tanah Lot.
